Day 5

 Our third day of VBS was muy divertido! The lesson was “I am incredible because I am a child of God!” “¡Soy increíble porque soy un hijo de Dios!” We helped the kids make a craft mirror so that they can look in it and remember that they are a child of God. We were very busy with a lot of activities at the church, such as coloring, futbol, dancing, musical chairs, parachute, and much more. We were taught some of the dances kids do and we also found out that they do the chicken dance in Honduras too! 

The Pastor’s wife made another amazing meal for us and then we rested at the hotel. We then walked with Pastor’s family to a soccer field and got to play some pick-up soccer! We had lots of fun even though we were very sweaty by the end. Even Pastor joined, and he was a great player! He passed out Christian Pamphlets to the older kids who had not gone to VBS and we invited them to come the next day. It was great to see God working! 

Back at our hotel, we saw a huuuuge rain spider that wanted to join in on our nightly devotion! I guess he wanted to hear Cole’s devotion on 2 Corinthians 4:8-12. “For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death is at work in us, but life in you.”

We have arrived!

After many hours and prayers, we have arrived safely in Honduras! We have already had a few curve balls thrown our way. However, we know that God  has a plan and will lead us during this mission. After we got through customs, we met the pastor and his family. They are very hospitable and kind, and we cannot wait to bond more with them over this next week. Pastor showed us around the church where we will be holding the VBS. The church was very beautiful. We were able to play with Pastor’s sweet kids and even meet their adorable dogs.

Hello!

We are the MOST Team 2320 and we will be traveling to La, Paz Honduras. There, we will be letting the local children know about Jesus' love for them through a vacation Bible school. The theme of this VBS is "I am incredible" and is focused on Psalm 139:14 - "I am fearfully and wonderfully made!" Each of the Bible lessons we will teach will focus on a special aspect of what our identity becomes when we trust Jesus.
