Day 4

What a day! We started out with a morning devotion by Grayson on Psalm 139. We arrived at the church ready for another fun day of singing, praying, and playing. We taught everyone two new songs: “Padre te adoro” y “Padre Abraham”. We bonded more with our new friends by playing games. Beatmaster was a crowd favorite as well as our boys vs girls soccer game and “what would you choose” helped us learn more important facts about each other such as if you prefer Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran ;). 

Todays Bible lesson was “I am incredible because I am chosen by God” or “Soy increíble porque elegido por Dios.” The kids learned that just like God chose David to be king, He has also chosen us to spread His love and gospel. 

After VBS, we sat down to another delicious meal that Pastor’s wife worked very hard on. We love sitting down to eat a meal with our new family, it is one of our favorite parts of the day. 

Upon arriving back at the hotel, we cooled off in the pool, played a very intense game of uno, and Sue shared a devotion. She spoke about the Great Commission from Matthew 28:18-20. Jesus has commissioned us to continue His work, using our influence for His purpose. We were reminded of who sent us on this trip (God) and how we are to serve Him. “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””

We have arrived!

After many hours and prayers, we have arrived safely in Honduras! We have already had a few curve balls thrown our way. However, we know that God  has a plan and will lead us during this mission. After we got through customs, we met the pastor and his family. They are very hospitable and kind, and we cannot wait to bond more with them over this next week. Pastor showed us around the church where we will be holding the VBS. The church was very beautiful. We were able to play with Pastor’s sweet kids and even meet their adorable dogs.

Hello!

We are the MOST Team 2320 and we will be traveling to La, Paz Honduras. There, we will be letting the local children know about Jesus' love for them through a vacation Bible school. The theme of this VBS is "I am incredible" and is focused on Psalm 139:14 - "I am fearfully and wonderfully made!" Each of the Bible lessons we will teach will focus on a special aspect of what our identity becomes when we trust Jesus.
